Inception Studios LLC ("Inception Studios," "we," "us," or "our") respects your privacy. This policy explains how we handle personal information connected with www.moderntattooing.com, inquiries to our studio, and our business messaging channels.

 

Information we collect

 

When you contact us or submit a tattoo inquiry, we receive the information you provide, such as your name, phone number, email address, budget, tattoo preferences, and the contents of your messages. Our Get Started form requests contact and project information so an artist can respond, including by text message.

 

Our website is hosted by Wix. Website hosting and related services process technical information needed to deliver and protect the site, such as device, browser, connection, and website-usage information. Cookies and similar technologies can support site operation and functionality. Browser settings let you manage cookies, although disabling them can affect site features.

 

We do not currently use tracking advertisements. This does not mean the website uses no cookies or that hosting and service providers do not process technical information.

 

Our gift-card page links to Square for purchases and balance checks. Information you submit on Square's pages is handled through Square's services and privacy practices. Do not send payment-card numbers through our general inquiry forms, email, or chat.

 

How we use information

 

We use information to respond to questions; discuss tattoo ideas and estimates; arrange and manage appointments; provide customer service; operate and protect our website and business; maintain necessary business records; and comply with legal obligations.

 

We do not sell customer personal information. We do not currently send promotional texts or emails. Responding to your inquiry or contacting you about an appointment does not enroll you in marketing.

 

If we introduce optional promotional texts or emails in the future, we will offer a separate choice to sign up, obtain the permission required for the channel, and provide an easy way to opt out. We will not automatically add existing inquiry or tattoo-consent contacts to a new marketing list. Any future program will be explained when you sign up, including how to unsubscribe. Declining marketing will not prevent you from requesting our services.

 

Who receives information

 

Information relevant to your inquiry or appointment is shared with the studio personnel and artists who need it to assist you. Service providers supporting website hosting, forms, communications, and transactions process information as needed for those services. For example, this site uses Wix, and our gift-card links lead to Square.

 

We may disclose information when legally required, to respond to valid legal process, or as reasonably necessary to protect people, investigate fraud or security incidents, or establish, exercise, or defend legal rights. We do not make a promise that information is never shared: operating the website and responding to customers require appropriate service providers.

 

Google and AI-assisted business messaging

 

When you contact our business through Google or another third-party messaging platform, that platform also handles information under its own applicable privacy policy and terms. Google's practices are described in the Google Privacy Policy.

 

Google Business Profile messaging uses RCS for Business where supported. Google and participating carriers process messaging information to provide and protect that service. Google may process message content to train models for spam detection and prevention. See the RCS for Business terms and data-security information. Our statements about marketing describe our studio's practices; they do not override those providers' terms.

 

Where AI-assisted business messaging is enabled, an automated assistant may help answer routine questions or collect inquiry details. Studio personnel may review messages and respond personally. Please do not send identification documents, medical details, full payment-card information, passwords, or other sensitive information through an AI conversation. Contact the studio directly when a question needs personal attention. This policy does not change Google's or another platform's independent data practices.

 

How long information is kept

 

We keep personal information only as long as reasonably needed for the purposes described here, including handling an inquiry, providing services, maintaining necessary records, resolving disputes, and meeting legal obligations. The appropriate period depends on the type of information and the reason it is held; a request to delete information does not override a legal recordkeeping requirement.

 

Separate from ordinary website inquiries, customers provide identification when completing tattoo consent forms. Our studio keeps those consent and identification records for seven years as its recordkeeping practice, or longer where necessary for a legal obligation or legal hold. The seven-year period is our studio's practice; Minnesota law requires specified body-art procedure records to be kept for at least three years. These service records are not marketing records, and they are not collected through our general tattoo-inquiry form.

 

Your choices and requests

 

You may contact us to ask about personal information we hold about you, request access or correction, or request deletion. Depending on applicable law, you may have additional privacy rights. We may need to verify your identity before fulfilling a request and may retain information where permitted or required by law. We will explain if we cannot fulfill a request. If you disagree with our response, contact us again and ask for a review.

 

You may ask us to use a different contact method or stop further inquiry follow-up. Contact us using the details below. Your browser and the third-party platforms you use may offer additional privacy controls.

 

Security

 

We take reasonable steps to protect personal information. No website, electronic communication, or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure. Please share only the information needed for your inquiry and use the studio's designated process for sensitive service-related information.

 

Children

 

Our tattoo services are for adults age 18 and older. Our website and inquiry channels are not directed to children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided personal information to us, contact us so we can investigate and address it appropriately.

We may update this policy to reflect changes in our practices or legal requirements. We will show the updated date here and provide additional notice when required by law. Changes do not remove rights you have under applicable law.
